XBM’s First 100% Electric Van
National Technology reseller XBM takes delivery of our First 100% Electric Van supplied by sustainable print partner Epson.
Epson awarded XBM “Reseller of the Year” in both 2022/3 and 2023/4. To recognise this success, along with our excellent service support, Epson has provided XBM with our first 100% electric vehicle, scheduled to run deliveries from our Leeds Head Office for the next 12 months. The Peugeot E-Partner has a range of up to 213 miles (WTLP) and will charge to 80% in just 30 minutes, a volume of 4.4m3, and payload capacity of up to 780Kg.
The van, as shown in the image above with Epson MPS Account Manager, Paul Harland, and XBM Managing Director, Richard Taylor, has been completely wrapped with the graphics of Epson’s latest Heat-Free Print Technology campaign, “Elevate Your Performance”. The campaign focuses on the multiple productivity, cost, and sustainability benefits of Heat-Free Print Technology.

Epson’s Number 1 reseller and one of only two Diamond Partners in the UK, XBM’s successful partnership with Epson is based on the sustainable credentials of Epson Heat-Free Print Technology, which has matured from its status as a disruptor a few years ago to a market proven success, providing thousands of XBM’s customers with a reliable print solution that saves time and money spent on electricity bills, whilst also reducing the users CO2 emissions and Carbon Footprint.
According to a recent report by Quocirca Research, 77% of organisations are accelerating their sustainability plans, rising to 88% in SMBs (1). As well as the technological advantages offered by more sustainable print solutions, companies see their environmental actions as a way of increasing brand perception and connecting with potential customers on issues that matter to them, with 81% of customers feeling that companies should do their part to improve the environment (2).
XBM & Sustainability
XBM established our environmental policy and plans in 2022 and began to offset our own carbon footprint by planting trees via Ecologi for each Epson print solution we installed. This led to the business achieving ISO 14001 in 2023 and XBM intends to continue to invest in our own sustainability, with plans for the power in the new Leeds Head Office to be supplied by roof mounted solar panels that will also provide power to charge electric vehicles run by XBM and our staff.
